-Quint Buchholz-

Quint Buchholz---Get to know this famous German illustrator of children's books recently, his style is what I seek for--graceful , fairytale and simple.

And all his pictures seem to represent a story ,a long long story.

His pictures are like ,you cannot forget once you've seen them.

I've read a book which is also written by him called "Der Sammler Der Augenblicke(The collector of moments)" . I wish I knew German so that I could read the German version instead of the Chinese one. I'm sure the words/phrases would be more accurate .

-simple life-

~Starry, starry night
Flaming flowers that brightly blaze
Swirling clouds and violet haze
Reflect in Vincent's eyes of china blue
Colours changing hue
Morning fields of amber grain
Weathered faces lined in pain
Are soothed beneath the artists' loving hand~
It would be more perfect if I was out lying over a grassland when I took this picture.

Sometimes being forced to work is not as bad as you thought it is ,at least you got the incentives to do what you like after all.

Please treat me as your true friend and I want no more.
I want her haircut,please.

Fashion drawing

I stayed at the Emergency Room for over 11 hours yesterday .

Then it's the best time for me to practise my drawings.

I made this fashion drawing by imitating the one from a fashion magazine.
Drawing facial expressions and hands within such a small area is really hard for me.

Can you guess which movies they're coming from?

Watercolour paintings of movie shots from 3 different movies.
Can you guess which movies they're coming from??

(I wish you could see there's improvement of my painting since they're not drawn at the same time. The top one would be the earliest.)

Visited Billie's shops.

Eventually I've visited Billie's shops!

Quite timid and shy actually ...

And I've surprisingly come across with Koey!!
I really love her work !
I think I should come to the shop again later since I was too nervous to see everything clearly.

Clothes Modification

I've been searching for this kind of red & white-striped-top for ages.
I did encounter red & white striped clothes before but they're just not perfect I don't know why.

Eventually I've searched for one which is a dress and the neckline is too broad for me .
So, I cut it short and deepened the pockets and narrowed the collar too.

Though it's still not yet perfect due to the lack of materials , I'm excited to have my own clothes.

An education

Another fascinating film still catches my full attention ---An Education

I'm captivated by the WHOLE MOVIE actually.
The beautiful British Accent.
The vintage costumes.
The interchanged English and French used by the actress in the film.
The classic French song.
The dialogues said by the actress. (I can't help reciting them!)

聽見天堂Rosso come il cielo

This movie is adapted from a true story of Mirco Mencacci. He is a famous Italian sound editor and became blind in an accident when he was young.

I'm inspired by this film, about the sounds we actually take for granted every day;and how amazing the sounds around us can be .

And this film actually reminds me of Les Choristes--a French film.

I have to say I'm quite into this kind of movie , talking about the past ,with many kids ,talking about music...

-Daydream Nation- Jing & Kay

Recently I came across a book in a bookstore (still my favourite place to linger), then I get to know Jing Wong. He and his sister Kay Wong have established the brand "Daydream Nation" a couple of yeras ago (so outdated of me ,huh?! ^^).
「Society has a certain kind of racism against daydreamers」By Phelim McDermott

I have to say,I've yearned what he and his sister have experienced for such a long time. BUT littleperson knows clearly in her mind that it's all about CHANCE.

And I found their brandname artfully matches with this littleperson . Actually , this littleperson loves living in a world of fantasy. She daydreams. ALOT. I mean like every single hour. She will come up with a scenario in her head that will probably never happen. She spent basically half of her day in her mind.Thinking.

If you've read her profile before, She said this kind of daydreaming has seriously affected her studies. But She just couldn't help.

JING WONG, please keep your passion on public art! HK needs YOU!

社區二手店

I wanted to go so badly after discovering its existence!
It's such a good time for searching those hidden treasures again!!!

Frankly speaking,I prefer old/cheap shops(the one that normal people usually tend not to go inside) or flea markets to those cliche shops.

The other major reason why I would like to visit this shop is that it's operated by an non-profitable charity to help the grassroots groups in our society.
Today I've donated some old books, clothes, shoes, bag to this shop(you know,I always want to guarantee that what I've donated can get to those in need.)

And of course I've bought some nice second-hand things from the shop^^.
After all,I had a great time today.

!! People are recommended to donate their old things there and they have two shops actually ;one in Sham Shui Po and the other in Sheung Sha Wan. They can come to your place and collect your ready-to-be-thrown furniture/other large appliances. !!

*Since I want to share my blog with some possible readers who don't know chinese at all, I may use English sometimes. Please be patient to read my words, merci! *
